I followed all the steps, but when it got to the step to telnet to the device, i installed puTTY like it said but when i telnet to to 192.168.1.1 it gives me a timeout error

Hi,
can you try to describe your setup a bit more?
Did you reconnect to the device? - -and how?
How are you wired?
Which operating system do you use?
