Hello Matthias:

What exactly does the secret option of /opt/piratebox/www/board/config.pl

It looks like its doing some kind of encryptation but i dont know secure, if you can pls explain me.

Unfortunately, I didn't wrote the imageboard.
As far as i understood the description in the code and in the configuration files, I can say, it is used to save/hashes the user-password, if entered.
