pyForum can't post
November 17, 2017 07:46PM

Been trying out piratebox have it up and running on a few C.H.I.P. computers (sorry raspi section but nothing for CHIP)

I've been trying to get the pyForum "forest" going, I've run

/opt/piratebox/bin/ /opt/piratebox/conf/piratebox.conf pyForum

and I can reach the forum at: piratebox.lan/cgi-bin/

But when I try to create a new thread it never works out
after creating the post and submitting the new thread I get forwarded to a blank page
at: piratebox.lan/cgi-bin/

and when I go back to piratebox.lan/cgi-bin/ no new thread.

any advice would be greatly appreciated

no issue about the forum. I moved this to the correct section.

I need the file called after you encountered the blank page error.log & break.log . You can find both in /opt/piratebox/tmp - just post the content here.

best regards Matthias

Thanks for the response

I checked the tmp file as you suggest but all that's in there is a file it's blank

the forumspace folder where the pyforum info is suppose to be is also empty.

I've also checked for hidden files in both folders and still nothing

not sure what you mean when you say "I need the file called after you encountered the blank page"
please advise

are you asking if a error is displayed? if so their is no error displayed it just a blank page and the URL
changes to piratebox.lan/cgi-bin/

After you encountered the blank page the error is written in the tmp directory.
