I havent been paying attention to development, but just came across this in my search for a captive portal solution for the BibleBox project.

What is the current ability of Piratebox to redirect a browser to the desired front page?

Hi,
we are resolving all dns requests to one specific IP (the PirateBox IP), as we don't have another IP saved for the requested domain (as we don't have internet).

The tagged project is to paint in the wifi network list with SSID names. It is using the same technique (dns redirect).

I'm not very sure that answers your question.
