chat box message retention

Hi there,
how can we change how long chat messages are displayed in the chat box?
Currently they seem to disappear pretty quickly and I'd like to display them for a few days if possible.

the chat box is removed after every reboot. If that is the concern, then you can disable this behavior with changing the entry in /opt/piratebox/conf/piratebox.conf

RESET_CHAT="yes"

to, using this command line..

sudo sed -i -e 's|RESET_CHAT="yes"|RESET_CHAT="no"|' \
    /opt/piratebox/conf/piratebox.conf
