Upgrading USB and general use question
March 21, 2017 11:33PM
Hello! I just set up my TPL MR3040 Piratebox, with no troubles. However, I used a 32 GB USB, and I would rather switch to my 128 GB USB. Is the firmware fully installed in the machine, so the USB is now just storage and can be swapped for a better one, or is there a process i need to follow to safely do this? Also, I was wondering if the software/firmware allows for the physical device to be powered off and on without causing problems, or if you have to run a shutdown process.
Thanks for any help.

Technically, a proper shutdown is always appreciated, but on those devices, nobody does smiling smiley

If your new USB Stick is formatted correctly (one big FAT32 partition with MBR partition table), just copy over the content.

best regards
