Reviving Old Pirate Box MR3040

So I've had this sitting in my backpack for a while and remembered why it's been sitting in there. It couldn't connect with DHCP and now you can only connect with a Static IP. Obviously this is a problem so I connected it to LAN and tried to SSH back into it and the connection was refused. There's not much else I can give on this problem and I would really like for this to work again since I never really got it up and running in the first place. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

Did you try SSH only or telnet as well?
Did you try to reflash it using failsave mode?
Does the USB stick still work? (Filesystem errors possibly)?
