Messed Up DHCP

Hi all.

I wanted to change my PB IP address because my home router uses the same. I wanted them to be seperated so I can easily follow my connections.

I've followed the steps here: [piratebox.cc]

and easily changed IP address.

It's now 192.168.42.1. Aaaaaand I think because of the wrong gateway and subnet settings, I can't connect to my PB anymore. Even with an ethernet cable.

Any suggestions? I want to bring that setting back to 192.168.1.1

Hi,
The howto is correct. The failsafe mode is the way to go: [piratebox.cc]

Double check your /etc/config/network , check for wrong ' or other odd things.
If etc/config/network is correct, you can still connect to your device using a static IP address like 192.168.42.2 in your case.

Give the failsafe mode a try,
best regards Matthias
