AAAAAA Thank's Matthias. I could not understand anything in the openWRT link. So, if I understand, the 3040 flashing is easier than the 3020 because we won't need to add a resistor. But we can use the detailed recommandations to use the u-boot thing. We already bought another one for our project because we really lack of time, but I'll gie news if I succeed to flash my 3040.by ogdabou - PirateBox OpenWrt

Hey, I never had success with failsafe mod. Have you tried to connect with the device via ether net and changing your ip for something like 192.168.2.10? I had changed its ip to 192.168.0.21 and I could access it by changing my ip to 192.168.0.2. I disconnected the computer from the Internet to avoid network issues... I hope this helpby ogdabou - PirateBox (General)
Thanks for all the precisions and help ! I tried to get back to the original configuration to try out the librarybox. I didn't undertstand how to go piratebox => librarybox so I tried to get back to the original firmware of my 3040. I did it through ssh : With the good firmware (i think 3040 v2)? I don't want to say so much shit, but here is what I saw : You have to modify directly the files location in the .img file. (located in your USB key). To do this, you have to mount the img file. I'm not a MAC user, but something is described there (look for Canadian Luke's answer): Then, you will have the possibility to modify the files. I'm at work and can't remby ogdabou - Mods and Themes
Hi, I wanted to install the imageboard with the instructions given on the openwrt page. It said that I needed the piratebox to be connected to the internet, so I tried to change it's IP. I failed because I did not correctly modified the confs files. in network I put : #NETWORK 192.168.0 and in IP #IP 192.168.0.21 Now I cannot access the piratebox, and I cannot connect it thby ogdabou - PirateBox (General)
QuoteYes, but you can even directly Upload the suggested PDF to the imageboard and discuss there. Then you disable the upload (and remove it from the front page). (I like the PDF idea, good comments about that!). Ok we will try this way , that's nice if you already have all implented yet ! The idea sounds cool if users can directly add their comments on the articles . (Making me think tby ogdabou - PirateBox (General)
Hum, a lot to think about ! QuoteIf the author uploads their own content, who will be the one to verify the content conforms to your system or meets your content standards? That's a good question, and I must admit we do not know a good solution for this right now. In my view of the whole thing, we will need some "trusted users" to check the incoming articles. Or maybe we shouby ogdabou - PirateBox (General)
Hi Bud75, QuoteAbsolutely love the idea and wish you success. I would use this service to read alt news. Thank's, a good smile to start a good day . QuoteBut considering the limitations of the PB CPU power, wouldn't it be more efficient to have the newspaper articles written as .pdf's and uploaded to the shared folder? Hi, I 'm an IT student and I have schoold project. We are a group of 3 and choose to work on a PB project ! We have a 32Gb disk connected to a 3040. We now have a working PirateBox (HUGE THANKS to all the work that have been done, installation is really easy !) but we now need to host our own website on it (php/sqLigth.. sympfony..whatever we can learn).
