You can tell the user to open a browser in the SSID ; ) Kind of a silly practical solution, but works well. My SSID in Brasil it's something in portuguese like "lets share! - Open your browser and try any site" Another good tip is to start the SSID with some of the first letters, so it appears in the beggining of the wifi list (that it's alfabetical).by surian - PirateBox OpenWrt
Yeah it works nice in the wdr3600 without this www offlload feature! No Problem! Matthias, I'd like to suggest a mention to this link in the OpenWrt HowTo session of the site: http://piratebox.aod-rpg.de/dokuwiki/doku.php/piratebox_1.0_pre_install_guide It is the only place that explains this kind of installation (using normal openwrt images in different routers) and I could only insby surian - PirateBox OpenWrt
Thanks Matthias! I tried to install again and it worked But then, following the OpenWRT Mods page in the PB site I broke my installation in the step www offload (trying to put a www folder on a usb stick). It is not so important, since I don't really need this feature, but I'm reporting here to debug. The installation went normal, but after reboot, the piratebox only redirectby surian - PirateBox OpenWrt
Hello! I'm trying to install PB in a TP-Link WDR3600. I already installed sucessfully in this kind of router 6 months ago, following this same tutorial: http://piratebox.aod-rpg.de/dokuwiki/doku.php/piratebox_1.0_pre_install_guide But now, with the new 1.0 launch and site (awesome, by the way!) I don't know if this is still the most up-to-date method... I could't find info inby surian - PirateBox OpenWrt
A friend gave me a new mr3020 today to setup a piratebox and I tried the auto-installer for beta 1.0 following the instructions here So this is how it happened: . downloaded auto-installer image for mr3020 and the install_piratebox.zip . extracted the .zip to usb stick, safely remove usb and pluged it in the router. . flashed the image to the router . telnet to device, and then (in thisby surian - PirateBox (General)

It is really a very simple and honest use : ) I noticed that some formats dont play directly in the browser. I'll try tu upload mp4 videos to see how it goes. Thanks for sharing!by surian - PirateBox (Development)

The piratebox worked very well in the festival! Many people using at same time. I gave a workshop about it and mesh networks, and the project has many new fans in Rio now : ) There was a problem about the captive portal... In cellphones the redirection worked very well, but in some laptops the user was not redirected to the piratebox installation, instead, it was giving "page not found&by surian - PirateBox (Development)
Hi! I'm having troubles to install the piratebox responsive theme. I try to copy the files using scp, downloaded here to my /opt/piratebox folder but then, when I turn on my router again I no longer can acess the wifi spot.. There is something I have to do after copying the files? Inside one folder there is a lighppd folder, should I copy it to my installation too? Matthias Wrotby surian - PirateBox (General)
Sucessfully installed piratebox on my TP-link WDR3600!!! Works very well (A lot more fast than my other PB on a MR3020, because of the hardware, I suppose) Tomorrow I'll put it in a festival and watch how it works with lots of people using at the same time Trying now to install a responsive theme and connect it as a server to a mesh network with others WDR3600...
