The time is restored from disk, because the cheap one chip computer do not have a realtime clock (too expensive). for setting the time.. the easiest way is to enter date and time in the following format: sudo date -s "20170523 1742" and then wait 10 minutes... to be sure it was saved.by Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
First of all, you need enough power on your RPi that you can power both wifi cards. Then you need to find out the name of the 2nd wifi card. You can try using iw dev You should see two entries. Then you need to create a netctl file, you find Netctl-Howto on and "enable" it. This should bring you up the network connectivity, there might be some additional steps to add a dns serby Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
Thanks for that good suggesiton. I added to our github tracker for not loosing that idea.by Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box

You please refer on which post you are referring to? And did you use the piratebox image? Then I may be able to tell something about itby Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
Depends on the RPi version, your PSU and the dBi you want to train. I used it without an additional hub. Matthiasby Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
Hi, Quote when I plug a USB WiFi dongle, this sounds for 100% like a power supply problem. Matthiasby Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box

OH! AR150 has a uboot web gui! Did you set your computer to a static IP adress, because it does not provide a tcpip service. And the uboot web interface has nothing to do with the configured IP address inside OpenWrt/PirateBox best regards Matthiasby Matthias - PirateBox OpenWrt
Glinet AR150 and a 16 GB Kingston drive, like recommended on piratebox.ccby Matthias - PirateBox (General)
Hi, first of all: all this ssh traffic on Port 22 are only bots. Same will happen to you after exposing port 80, there are a huge amount of bots testing for vulnerabilities and deploying their code. I am not aware of a bug which can cause trouble, which does not mean that there are no. Especially the imageboard is pretty old, so it can have known bugs with potential to be expoited. Hi, good point, the recommended way is to use the "PirateBox Share Freely" SSID to connect to the 0W. best regards Matthiasby Matthias - PirateBox (General)
Not stupid, but pretty common problem . There are 3 configuration items to be changed, which is confusing.by Matthias - PirateBox (General)

Wait. The first password prompt should look like this: $ sudo passwd root password for alarm: So you need to provide the password for alarm userby Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
This is ok, because the the cryptic name is your piratebox node id (randomly generated)by Matthias - PirateBox OpenWrt
Logged in as the alarm user you can do sudo passwd best regardsby Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
> 1. Is there anyway to get the video to play? I assume not, because the browser is limited. >2. Is it possible to customize/hack the captive portal page (change its size etc) and if so, could you point me in the right direction? The captive Portal page is nothing more then the default redirect to the main page. So what do you mean with that question? best regards Matthiasby Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
Hi, puh. No, there is no "official" manual. You are faceing three issues here: a) The Realtek checks are very unlikely to have direct support from the Linux Kernel. So you need to build additional driver b) These drivers do not necessarily work together with hostap or support AP mode c) The default SDCard image is quite small for building new packages directly on the Pirateboxby Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
Do the post installation steps with activating the sd-card share. Later you can use the normal upload function for uploading the files, can't you?by Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
Remove the content folder ( /opt/piratebox/share/content ) it should be redistributed during next reboot.by Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
The files are re-distributed on each bootup. You need to disable this function in /opt/piratebox/conf/piratebox.conf Language: Bash#Provide files needed for PirateBox custom dirlisting CUSTOM_DIRLIST_COPY="yes" Switch this to "no"by Matthias - PirateBox (General)
