Quote I uploaded some files, shut down, restarted and then when I try to connect, it puts me in an endless loop saying it is re-directing. Not sure why. Endless loop can be: a) you browser cache b) you modified some HTML files, which are now resulting in a 404. A 404 causes a redirect to Language: PHPhttp://piratebox.lan/content This is a short idea summary. To get more into detail, I nby Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box

Hi, yes (btw the installation went well....) Make sure the USB stick is FAT32 in MBR mode. Then you can follow the upgrade instructions with a fresh copy of the install folder. DIY: OpenWrt upgrde best regards Matthiasby Matthias - PirateBox OpenWrt
Long story short: Only AA is supported. You MAY try the development packages, which should work on ChaosCalmer (but may have other issues). best regards Matthiasby Matthias - PirateBoxes on OpenWrt - unsupported
Hi, this doesn't seem that the box hasn't finished or even started the installation. Also it seems you are following an old installation guide, because in the latest version you do not need to manually configure config.pl anymore. If you are already logged in, have a look you find /mnt/usb in the list of that command output mount If now -> see FAQ Can't run command orby Matthias - PirateBox OpenWrt

Ah, it is not that easy to exchange the banner image that easy. The reason is, that the imageboard is rendered as static HTML on disk until something changes on the board. Only with that regeneration a changed configuration will be put in place. I can only think of a shell script, which works under the control of cron (every x Minutes) and replaces the banner image physically. Matthiasby Matthias - Mods and Themes
oh well, try re-read the manual. you need to put "vi" in front of it for adjusting the configurationby Matthias - PirateBox (General)
Hi, Theoretically connection limit is about 250 Clients. But this is theoretical. It totally depends what the clients are doing. It makes big difference between music streaming and video streaming. The RPi WiFi has something around 150Mbit, that is not much. In addition, it is a shared medium... anyway, enough bla bla. I guess you can count something between 5 and 30 clients who are aby Matthias - PirateBox (General)

Nope, that can't be in direct relation. The redirect all index.html is under /opt/piratebox/www You need to remove the existing index.htm from the board folder and access kareha.pl with your browser manually to initially create a new index.html with your new subforum title. if you do not remove the index.html, the fresh board copy just looks like the old one, because it isn't dynamiby Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
First of all, how did you perform the reboot? Did you perform a proper shutdown? If not, then your changes weren't written to the SD Card (takes up to 5 minutes to save some SDCard life). If you performed a proper reboot, which commands did you perform? Which files did you change? Can you verify the root filesystem is not read-only? And remember, this is the subforum for OpenWrt baby Matthias - PirateBox OpenWrt
I am pretty sure there must be the mime.types config, where you need to disable the extension to force the browser to take it as a normal download. (Remember, mime.types must be edited with vi).by Matthias - PirateBox (General)
The UI is different. LibraryBox is collecting statistics (Visitors per day, download statistics). LibraryBox has some Config-Files on the USB stick. LibraryBox supports -sort of- Master-Slave FTP synchronization across Mesh networks. The directory listing is different as well, because the statistics must be displayed dynamically. Thats all, best regards Matthiasby Matthias - PirateBox (General)

Hi, can you both post the output of the command dmesg You might want to write the output to a file sudo sh -c 'dmesg > /opt/piratebox/share/Shared/dmesg.txt' Then you can download it from PirateBox page. The output is needed to verify if there is an issue with the partitions. best regards Matthiasby Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
Hi, Quote it says to run sudo rm *.* but when I run it, it says there is no such file to remove. I'm not sure what this does or if it's necessary. If you have already posts in your forum, you need to remove them. This is the step for doing so. Quote The real problem is when I get to the section 'And you thought we were done'. Ok, I am now trying to understand... but I guess it is still not working. Maybe it is some other weird reason why it isn't working. Ok, lets do it from the command line and see what happens: Enable Timesave # Format is: MMDDhhmmYYYY # => 2018-07-28 14:00 sudo date 072814002018 # sudo /opt/piratebox/bin/timesave.sh /opt/piratebox/conf/piratebox.conf instalby Matthias - PirateBox (General)
Hi, no that command will cause the issue :-( The reason is an integer overflow in the calculation, which render the difference between now and 1970 as something weired. Set the date/time to the beginning of the month, after that try to push the refresh button on the frontpage. If that does not work, you might want to have a look at /opt/piratebox/tmp/break.log /opt/piratebox/tmp/error.lby Matthias - PirateBox (General)
Hi, thanks for the feedback. Are you sure the issue is about disk space? With the last version I changed something on the image build, to make use of an disk-cache on the build machine. Maybe I broke accidentally something?! Git Commit But this is a good writeup, Am I allowed to put this to the wiki? thanks, best regards Matthiasby Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box

Hi, do you run the piratebox with an external USB stick? If so, please take it to the windows system and run a filesystem check. That sounds like the usb stick is mounted on PirateBox in read-only mode for *some* reason. best regards Matthiasby Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
Hi Ali, in your case: a) You removed the external_fs folder, which causes the installer to abort. b) the auto flash did not work for some reason. My recommendation is: put a fresh copy of the install folder to the usb stick (delete the old on first) and put a fresh downloaded .bin file from our website to the auto_flash folder to trigger the reflash. Also remove the install.log atby Matthias - PirateBox OpenWrt
