Problems with the board are usually closely connected with using special Characters in the administrator password. Have a look at /opt/piratebox/share/board/config.pl , the entry you are looking for is "ADMIN_PASS"by Matthias - PirateBox News and Events
PirateBox is completely offline. There is no way to leak to the internet. Only if you are using a PirateBox of a stranger, which might be connected.by Matthias - PirateBox (General)
Hey guys, I am sorry for being silent for so long. I moved a couple of weeks ago, and I have still a lot of work to do to get everything sorted. I am sorry, that I can't handle your questions and help requests. Please understand that situation, I'll try to come back helping as soon as I can (maybe in two weeks?). best regards Matthiasby Matthias - PirateBox News and Events
Hi, yes, this totally depends on your USB/SD Card speed. Up to around 50MB is cached directly into RAM and is written to disk asynchronous. So It feels totally fast to upload smaller files. Everything beyond a certain size (this depends on your available RAM) is then written to the storage in a synchron manner. It feels like this in your example: 0 -> 50 MB : fast 50 -> e.g. 100 MBby Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
Sounds amazingly easy to me. What kind of mdns does it do? Does it IPv6 mdns as well? Our mesh interface is IPv6 only. Do you have found any information about an OpenWrt build of the IPFS client? edit: I assume there is no port to OpenWrt and something run-able on those small embedded devices. But I am pro to implemented the IPFS feature for RPi based PirateBox. I am not sure, if that shby Matthias - PirateBox (Development)
Sounds pretty good to me. This could be an option, at least for the RPi version. Let me know, If you need information or kind of support... Matthiasby Matthias - PirateBox (Development)
AFAIK: You can be pretty sure, that 3.0 isn't supported anymore.. even better, they do not accept our firmware anymore.by Matthias - PirateBox OpenWrt
Hi, if the issue is really a wifi disconnect, you need to choose a different SSID again. I recommend to not use special characters in SSID, because it is not ensured that every os can operate with the special characters. best regards Matthiasby Matthias - PirateBox (General)

Ok, awesome. Thank you for the feedback! I'll put a release of that image on my todo list for the next days. Matthiasby Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
Funny, I fixed the issue exactly one month after releasing the updated image for testing piratebox_rpi2_1.1.4-11-05-2018.img.zip This one worked on my side with a RPi3 . Please, If you have a RPI3+ , do a test and report back. Thank you, best regards Matthiasby Matthias - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box

Those scripts are at /opt/piratebox/bin/hooks dmsg only contains Kernel messages. You will see the message while being connected via serial cable or when you manually restart PirateBox with /etc/init.d/piratebox restart Best regards Matthiasby Matthias - PirateBox (General)

Mh, it seem that the extendRoot-lighttpd package really has some issues. just to fix that: ln -s /usr/local/usr/lib/lighttpd /usr/lib/lighttpd /etc/init.d/piratebox restart best regards Matthiasby Matthias - PirateBox (General)
rm -v /usr/sbin/lighttpd test -e /usr/local/usr/sbin/lighttpd && echo "lighttpd binary available" && \ ln -s /usr/local/usr/sbin/lighttpd /usr/sbin/lighttpd &&\ /etc/init.d/piratebox restart Try the code above . If you do not see "lighttpd binary available", try to reinstall the box using the upgrade path like before (wipe USB stick andby Matthias - PirateBox (General)
Hi thanks, that looks ok beside the fact, that the lighttpd package wasn't installed. Can you please post the output of the following command? grep -C 5 lighttpd /mnt/usb/install.log I guess, You may need to reinstall your box with a fresh copy of install-zip. best regards Matthiasby Matthias - PirateBox (General)
Hi, ok. Can you give me a pastebin copy these commands listed here: best regards Matthiasby Matthias - PirateBox (General)

Hi, is there a chance you changed /etc/ext.config , because the usb stick is found correctly, but it seems it tries to mount /dev/sda instead. best regards Matthiasby Matthias - PirateBox OpenWrt
Mh, looks like there is a typo in the captive portal mod-package. try the following: run sed -i 's|192.168.1.1i|192.168.1.1|' /opt/piratebox/conf/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf sync && reboot After the box finished reboot, please try again. best regards Matthiasby Matthias - PirateBox (General)
Fynn, where did you place that configuration? Do you want to run 2 domains as well or is this a different setup? The piratebox lighttpd configuration is in /opt/piratebox/conf/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf best regards Matthiasby Matthias - PirateBox (General)
