Successful TP-Link 3040 v2.2 Build!
September 06, 2014 10:21AM
First a big thanks to both David and Matthias for all the hard work and time they put in.

Information:

Model: TP-Link 3040 v2.2
USB Drive: Sandisk Cruzer 16 gig slide
The PC I used: Linux Mint 17
Opemwrt Image used from: [stable.openwrt.piratebox.de] (3040-V2)

Here is a little tip to help you out:
While the Upgrade is doing it's thing put your cell phone in WiFi mode and go to the available network section.
You will see the Piratebox connection active twice! Wait for it to appear the second time then wait an additional
10 min. That's how you can tell the upgrade is DONE!

After the upgrade process your Piratebox will have an IP of 192.168.1.1 before you continue change your
computers IP to 192.168.1.2 then pull your ethernet cable out of your PC and reinsert it for the new config to activate!

Also the only hitch I had was the part where it says: Point your browser to [piratebox.lan]
That did nothing and when I went to the Piratebox webpage and tried to load the Forums it took me to directories! Lol

Well to fix that I just went to [piratebox.lan] via wifi and that fixed it!
I got the dlna server up and everything.

Very happy!

Thanks again all
