Removing the "First Steps After Flashing" message from SSH login
November 26, 2018 01:13AM
Hello Everyone,
A simple question that I have not been able to find an answer to on my own,
what is the name/location of the file that includes the "First Steps After Flashing" info that gets displayed upon opening an SSH connection to my Zero W Raspberry PiRateBox?

Thank you all for putting together such a wonderful project. I'm having a blast!

Hi,

I would need to check, but its probably an ssh setting,
https://www.shellhacks.com/setup-warning-message-banner-ssh/

I would check if there is an /etc/motd file.

Ubuntuhak, playing and tinkering with Ubuntu!

[SOLVED]

Thank you Nargren!
The link you posted gave me the answer.
The SSH welcome message can be changed via

$ nano /etc/motd

Cheers!
