Hi all,
does the router need to be flashed with dd-wrt or can it just be put in AP mode?

and does the Laptop version work on the eee Linux (stock, i think it's a Ubuntu fork) or does it have to Debian?

The laptop works specifically with Ubuntu, so your eee will work great thumbs up

i meant the laptop version of PirateBox.
is it Debian only or any Linux?

It should work on Debian or any distro that uses apt. I'm working on a better port at the moment that will be distro independent.
