[fork] Java Application using Jetty
May 09, 2012 02:23PM
What do you thing about a java application embedded in jetty (Web server and javax.servlet container) ?

This would be a replacement for all pyton/perl scripts in a unified application.
Made with webservices REST, the GUI could be completely separated from the functions (and easily localised).

Any comments and suggestions ?

It's an idea ! But the zip file is already 10 Mo. It's far too much for the MR3020 and the WR703N. Or maybe you can externalize a part of it on an USB key ?

lighttpd is installed on usb , too -- so this is no point... you "just" have to write a good install-script winking smiley

After a small study, I can't find any jvm binaries for mr3020 and others ARM hardware.
It's a pitty, but I can't find a way to run Java (J2EE, not mobil only).
I'm looking forward on some python framework like restlite or bottle or something else.

I thing this topic can be closed so.
