Recently I have been crafting PIrateBox installs up from old and new PIs for a couple of different projects such that I have a need to get a script to do the bulk of things automagicaly. Seeing as I have several models of PIs the images mentioned in these forums may or may not work, but a fresh install of Whezzy or Jessie and these steps are working well. I am fine tuning things and eventually will have something of an automated nature.
-VLC on boot as a streaming server and also admin interface for that stream
-COPS as a front end to a Calibre collection
-irchybrid and qwebirc for when a more robust chat environment is needed.
-webmin as I am not always the one who will be admining the install
Much of this I have gotten from posts here and other places. Not all of it has been integrated, a few services still need scripts and enables. Give it a look and please send constructive comments on up.
The end goal is to have as automated a script as possible.
To head some things off , I am using a Debain base as it is what I use for many other projects. Arch is great and all but this is the tango that moves me.
