Uploading Files: Error
August 27, 2015 03:01PM
Here's a strange problem... When I upload a file, the little box states there is an error but the files upload successfully and can be downloaded from the Files section.

I'm using a RPI Model B with an 8 GB SD card and a 64 GB USB stick formatted FAT32.

If I had to guess, the RPI is a bit slow moving the file to the USB stick and the code thinks there is some sort of error because of it...

I cleared everything (formatted the SD card and USB stick) and started from scratch following the procedures here and then the instructions to move to the USB stick here and the same error occurs.

Hi,
The problem might be an issues with setting access permissions (chmod), which isn't allowed on FAT32.

The question is, did you use our prebuilt image (should include a fix) or did you built it for yourself?

I used the prebuilt image. Should I be formatting the USB stick differently?

Unfortunately I want to take the Pi(rate) box to an event Wedensday morning, but since it is still storing the files I suppose it will work fine as it is... If anyone has ran into this issue before I could definitely use the help, thanks!

Sorry Chris,
I was away last week. Did you solve the problem?

This is only my signature.

I had to use it as it was, but I would like to still get the error fixed for future use.
