For Dummies Guide? confused smiley

First off, obligatory Hello World!

Now, to the issue at hand. I'm trying to run a Raspberry Pi(rate) box with a Kootek 802.11N adapter (note: it may actually be IIN, the packaging is...weird.) Can anyone provide step by step guid on getting it up and going for a Pi(rate) box? According to the package, it uses the Realtek RTL8188cus chipset (according to the package anyway)

Anyway, thanks in advance to whoever comes up with a guide for me. (I have the pi, a blank SD, a USB stick for storage...everything BUT the wi-fi usb dongle is ready.)

...

I think I found the solution. I also feel stupid for not seeing it sooner.

[*] Get the disc image off of the Raspberry Pi page (found under HowTos)
[*] Flash it onto the SD card
[*] Follow the instructions posted here: These directions
    [*] Boot and be happy?
I'll see if I can create an image file of the working result, so other idiots like myself can do this easily.
