Possible to connect to a piratebox in a different town?

I was wondering if it would be possible for me to connect to my friend's piratebox who lives in the next town over?

How do you mean that?

Well my friend lives in the next town and I was wondering if there was a way he could connect to my pirate box. Or if the range of the pirate box wouldn't allow that.

You mean via wifi? And what do you want to achieve after you meshed them up?

Just speculation but I expect hewanted to connect to the piratebox web interface without actually being on the wifi.

My recomendation would be to:
- connect the Pi to the Wired network at its home location.
- Setup a pubkey to login to SSH on the pi (Long password would work temporarily too)
- Setup a port forward (Easily done in Putty)
- - Secondarily you could run ssh server on another computer that had both wired connection as well as wifi and portforward through to the Server then use proxy settings in your browser to connect to the pirate IP.
