Will New Rpi3B+ work?

I guess the upgraded network capabilities are more than welcome for piratebox projects based on Pis.
Has anyone tried the new board with existing images?

Not myself. Currently I do not own a RP3B+ .
There might be a chance that the existing images are working, but I won't bet for that.

Yes, it works if you do an update. I tried putting an sd card from a model 3b into the 3b+, and it didn't boot. I had to do an update (sudo pacman -Syu) first on the model 3b, then I could put the sd card into the 3b+ and it boots. I'm using the latest Piratebox image for the rpi, 1.1.4.

Hi everybody. Same issue. Since I tried this with Rpi3B+, this doesn't boot. Will let you know if I find a solution..

The image is no yet rebuilt. I haven’t had time for that.
You need to run the current on a normal RPi, connect it to the internet and perform the command 
 sudo pacman -Syu

After that you can shutdown the pi and use it at the new model. I try to create a new image as soon as I can.

I tried the new image, it boots fine on a rpi3b+, but my smartphone won't connect to the wifi and says "failed to obtain IP address".

Hello, i have the new raspberry pi 3 B+ and i download the official image from the website (1.1.4) and the green light keeps on and off...
Any ideas?

Funny, I fixed the issue exactly one month after releasing the updated image for testing
piratebox_rpi2_1.1.4-11-05-2018.img.zip

This one worked on my side with a RPi3 .

Please, If you have a RPI3+ , do a test and report back.

Hi,

piratebox_rpi2_1.1.4-11-05-2018.img.zip boots without any problems on my Rpi3B+. Wifi, board and fileshare works. No issues seen.

Hello

Just came here to say that I've tried the image and it works perfectly on the RPi3B+

I bought it today and I was looking for like 6 hours trying to get this to work and then I realized I could search the forum for some answers.

I tried the piratebox_rpi2_1.1.4-11-05-2018.img on a r-pi3b+ and it worked, I can see the web page and ssh in.
