Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH2 Manual Install Issue

Hi Folks-
After installing OpenWRT from their site as directed in the PB how to, I began the manual PB install.
I Telneted in to 192.168.1.1 and at the prompt I typed:
echo "src/gz piratebox [stable.openwrt.piratebox.de]; >> /etc/opkg.conf

^The forum actually screws up the above by interpreting the URL. Suffice to say the line is as it should be in the tutorial.

an error returned:
-sh: can't create /etc/opkg.conf: Read-only file system

typing # mount I see
/dev/root on / type squashfs (ro,relatime)

How can I change this?

You better start from the beginning. If your opkg.conf is read only it seems you have issue with your freshly installed firmware


Just happens sometimes...
