Well, I got it almost working with flatfile, I'll try sqlite next. But it seems TinyIB needs the php-gd module to be able to do anything with images. This has been built for arm pleny, I found packages for arch and debian arm, and is usually included with php. Is it included with the php installer you provided? Its the last thing I need for this to all work. Text posts go through fine.by WACOMalt - PirateBox on Android
This is pretty cool. Is there any database solution that works on piratebox android (or more accurately, the underlying PAW server it runs on?) I've been trying to get an imageboard running, but aside from kareha (which requires cgi/perl, which has been a pain and I cant get it working) there are a few others using php that require a database. EDIT: I found one that doesnt need a databaseby WACOMalt - PirateBox on Android
Is there any method for including Kareha in the android app? Or plans to add it in the future? Update: I did some research and it looks like the perldroid project says that Perl can cross compile for android as of 5.20, without any tricks. I attempted to use SL4A which days it supports Perl, but had no luck, I don't think this is what I'm after so I'll try cross compiling perby WACOMalt - PirateBox on Android
Hi all, I wanted to chronicle my experience getting this all working for you guys. In case anyone else gets in the same boat, or more likely, if I mess something up and need to start over I have a Raspberry Pi B+ and an Edimax EW-7811Un and was successful in getting everything working thanks to this thread and some help from Matthias via IRC. Thanks everyone! So, from the top: -----------by WACOMalt - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
Ah ok. Yeah I need to use this Pi for more than just my piratebox, so I'll stick on raspbian for ease of use for the other stuff for now. The WiFi network does not show up. I have scanned with my phone and a laptop. Thanks for the help. EDIT: Just to update, it seems the main issue I'm running into is this line [....] Probing wlan:/opt/piratebox/bin/piratebox_setup_wlan.by WACOMalt - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
Thanks for the fast reply. I did try the hostapd binary from adafruit and switching the driver, but I had not done the logging changes on the Arch image. On Raspbian now I just tried those logging changes. The Output is now as follows on start-up: [....] starting script piratebox : Generating hosts file .... Generating dnsmasq.conf ..... Generating Environment-config for lighttpd ..by WACOMalt - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
Hi all. I've been having a lousy time trying to get my PirateBox going on a Raspberry Pi B+ I first tried following this guide: and used the image file from the torrent. (ArchLinuxARM-2014.10-PirateBox1.0.1_rpi_1.0.1.img) This resulted in a blinking wireless card, nothing connecting. I followed these instructions to get the driver sorted out, and also tried every step from the bootup iby WACOMalt - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
Hello. I am using a Belkin N300 Wireless USB Adapter Model: F9L1002v1 From my research it looks like this uses the Realtek RTL8192SU chipset just like the DLink DWA-131. However following this thread I am unable to get it working. I am using the ARCH image linked to on this guide www.piratebox.cc (the bittorrent link). Using it on my Raspberry Pi B+ I tried enabling device probe, uppingby WACOMalt - Raspberry Pi(rate)Box
