ATTENTION If your USB harddrive has it's own power supply then it will be no problem. However harddrives that are powered over USB they will most likely draw to much power from the PSU/Charger that feeds the pirate box. So check how much power the drive consumes, add the power that the PirateBox is using. and add some overhead power Many USB chargers are 1 Ampere or even less ,by frietpan - PirateBox (General)
I am told this will be the new version of the GL.iNet with similair hardware specs . It has a nice 5 pin GPIO header and a UART header.by frietpan - PirateBox OpenWrt
I see the language option of the app doesn't include Dutch, in what file is the language stored? Where can i find that file? Then i'll have a look if I can figure out how to add a language.. I looked in the github but couldn't locate it. thxby frietpan - PirateBox on Android
I installed the current beta on an 'old' smart'ish'phone Great to see that it installs without a problem on 'older' hardware. The lightblue text on the lightblue background is hard to read, maybe it is due to the 240x320 resolution, but dark blue would eventually work better or on a black background instead of grey The storage directory page seems to have aby frietpan - PirateBox on Android

Turns out that uboot on the nexx is an altered uboot, closed source / violating the GPL. So until there is someone who knows how to break free from this the NEXX is not secure. What i understood on the open wrt forum is that it is not possible to change the uboot from within openwrt because for security reasons they blocked openwrt from writing in uboot. The TP is based on Atheros, but this NEXX is based on the MediaTek SoC. Well i have openwrt running on it thus so far so good, I'm all new to this so I prefer to ask around before I turn my $15 box into a brick. The the stock uboot that NEXX configured seems to have a security flaw so i wouldn't reccomend it for anything non-educational. But since pirtate boxes can live theirby frietpan - PirateBox OpenWrt
Has anyone pirate boxed a nexx 3020 already? I just flashed open wrt on a nexx and started to search how to turn it into a NAS, then I stumbled onto this site and yeah why not build a piratebox aswell... So if this also works on a NEXX 3020 then my next NEXX will be piboxed. I'm all new to this, so that's why I ask...by frietpan - PirateBox OpenWrt
