Thought some of you might appreciate this hack from the OpenWrt forum which adds an internal USB hub and 2nd USB flash drive to the WR703N. Opens up lots of interesting possibilities...like adding a 3G adapter for instance...by darts - PirateBox (General)

Hey Matthias, I don't have my Raspberry Pi yet so I can't confirm but it appears possible to install Node.JS on ARM (v5-v7). Check out:by darts - PirateBox (General)
I've played around a little with Etherpad Lite and it runs nicely on Debian. I think we should plan to add it to future Debian releases of PirateBox (e.g. running it on the Raspberry Pi). For anyone who wants to play around with Etherpad Lite, try out their beta demo site and check out this easy tutorial to get it up and running on Debian/Ubuntu.by darts - PirateBox (General)

@N1mf - just wanted to mention that the 703N is very small (about 2/3 the size of the MR3020) and it's relatively simple to flash OpenWrt from the web interface (even though the menus are in Chinese). 1. Download this OpenWrt firmware and save to a folder on your computer 2. Connect to the router via ethernet cable (on a Macbook, first turn off wifi) 3. Navigate to [192.168.1.1] 4. @HenryOz, Ok, glad you were able to figure this out - thanks for sharing the fix. I've updated steps 3 & 4 on the PirateBox Plug Computer wiki page.by darts - PirateBox (General)
@HenryOz, Very sorry to hear you've been having so much trouble. Here are a few things to try... 1. Mount your USB drive on your computer and as a root user, navigate to the following file - comment out any lines you find. Save and then try plugging the drive into your Dockstar and rebooting. /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules 2. Make sure the PirateBox's nameserver IPby darts - PirateBox (General)
Wow, nice work! I've just added links to these tutorials from the PirateBox DIY wiki page.by darts - PirateBox LiveUSB
@Typat, they are very similar. The WR703N has a slightly different chip (though the specs appear to be identical to the MR3020), has a blue (versus white) case, and ships with Chinese firmware (a minor issue as this is replaced with OpenWrt in English). @gabidospi The flashing amber/yellow LED indicates that the Dockstar is not booting correctly - this probably means that you have received a "dud." You should contact Seagate, explain that it does not boot and request a free replacement unit.by darts - PirateBox (General)

Update (June 3, 2012) The latest version of PirateBox (0.5.1) for the TP-Link portable N router includes a lighttpd server and the option to install the Kareha Image Board. There are lots of other updates as well. A huge round of applause for Matthias Strubel for his amazing development work!! You can learn more about the 0.5.1 release in this forum thread.
