Hey folks, So I thought I had bricked the second MR3020 box that I was working on until I plugged it into my Mac and noticed that that computer has been auto assigned the IP 169.254.123.111. My Asus EEE PC running Crunchbang doesn't seem to want to talk to it via ethernet anymore. My questions are: 1. How do you set a debian linux distro to auto assign an IP? I think this might be whyby drhitchcock - PirateBox (General)
Thanks for the tips on locating the images. Excellent. But where in any of the files is the place to actually change them out with a file of a different name? And/or changing the text on the landing page. I managed to change some of the css. Thanks.by drhitchcock - PirateBox (General)
Also, on my second box I've somehow disabled the ethernet port and can no longer connect. It won't register an ethernet connection at all. Any help folks? I've tried failsafe with no luck.by drhitchcock - PirateBox (General)

Problem solved. The two ADSL routers I was using were both broken. Thanks for all your help cats. Peace, Benetby drhitchcock - PirateBox (General)

My home lan is on 192.168.1.xxx so I've changed my MR3020 to 192.168.1.111 and am able to connect but when I pin google I get: ping: bad address 'google.com'by drhitchcock - PirateBox (General)
Currently I have a Eee PC running Crunchbang Linux connected to a D-Link DSL-2740B ADSL router via ethernet. The Tp-Link MR3020 is also connected to this via ethernet. The D-Link is connected to the Net VIA adsl2. What else is helpful for you to know?by drhitchcock - PirateBox (General)

As in physically how it is connected or the data from my ifconfig?by drhitchcock - PirateBox (General)
Maybe the firewall on the device is blocking me...by drhitchcock - PirateBox (General)
That's where I'm at. For some reason my computer can't access the MR2030 via ssh via the router. I've tried 2 different routers.by drhitchcock - PirateBox (General)
I've done that part of the process. I can ssh in using: ssh root@192.168.2.111 and then I enter my password. It always works plugged directly into the device and sometimes via wifi Once I'm in I try ping google.com and it comes back with: bad domain or something.by drhitchcock - PirateBox (General)
From what I can tell the router IP is the same as the option ipaddr i.e. 192.168.2.111. I made the changes as suggested. You can connect to the net via the MR2030 whether in WISP or AP mode. It seems that I can only have it one way for the other but not both at the same time i.e. ability to ssh in or connect to online. When I try ssh-ing in I get connection timed out.by drhitchcock - PirateBox (General)

Hey everyone, First up, much respect to everyone working on this project. I think it's really exciting. Go team. I am in the process of installing PirateBox to a TP-Link MR3020 using CrunchBang / Debian and Mac OSX Snow Leopard but have got stuck at Point 15 on the tutorial The MR 3020 is connected via ethernet to my home router and my computers are connected to the home router, mby drhitchcock - PirateBox (General)
