Hi Mathias, sorry I was so long to answer... It sounds perfect to me!!!!! Bestby meaz - PirateBox News and Events
I too have a mr3040... I sometime got problems when I'm not patient enough!!! Perhaps you could try again the upgrade procedure like explained here. Be careful to put only the Custom OpenWrt file first. Then when you're done with the procedure, copy the install piratebox folder. And wait for a good 20 minutes, depending of your usb stick. When you see no more activity, that the lights aby meaz - PirateBox OpenWrt

depending of your actual piratebox either install from scratch or upgrade like explained here: Piratebox 1.1.2 And for php: php mod if your on openwrt and not on raspberry...by meaz - PirateBox (General)
Hi Matthias, that fixed the problem... I just have a comment. On this new version, a css folder is created in content. I think in piratebox/src/forest.py Line 71 CSS_PATH = '/forest.css' should be changed so that the forest.css file would be copy to this css folder instead of the webroot. and so piratebox/bin/install_piratebox.sh Line 49 and 53 cp -v $PIRATEBOX_FOLDER/src/forestby meaz - PirateBox News and Events
Hi, with the new php feature available, I guess you can do that with a php program...by meaz - PirateBox (General)
Hi Matthias, I still have the same "div upload" problem I wrote about in this post: div upload You wrote it will be corrected in the 1.1 version. But it still doesn't work. So, is the problem coming from my config or you simply didn't have time to implement it? Thanks a lot!by meaz - PirateBox News and Events
Hi Matthias, as you asked, I tried this new version on a MR3040. It works pretty well, I haven't seen any big problems... Here is however some stuff that I saw: 1. when you use box_init_setup.sh It is written: FTP configuration not available I don't know if it's normal... 2. In data.fr.properties refreshButton.value = Rafra chir should be replaced by refreby meaz - PirateBox News and Events
Hi all, Here is my problem. I have been playing around with the lighttpd conf file in : /opt/piratebox/conf/lighttpd As I got a problem I put back the original file. But the problem is still there. I'm not sure it has anything to do with what I did on the lighttpd conf file but I wanted you to know in case it has... So, here I the problem: when I switch my piratebox on, I do sby meaz - PirateBox OpenWrt

Hi, just to let you know, I tested on kubuntu: it is the same problem... Bestby meaz - PirateBox (General)
Hi Matthias, what I meant is that you can go with the browser to those folders. For example, one could type : 192.168.1.1/cgi-bin and see the files in it. But as I said, I don't know anything about security. So if you say it's ok, that's fine with me! Thanks meazby meaz - PirateBox (General)
Hi, I have a question about security. On the piratebox, some foldes (cgi-bon, assets, etc.) are not protected. Especially in the cgi-bin, there are some python scripts. Can't that be a problem? Thanks! meazby meaz - PirateBox (General)
Hi Matthias, thanks again for your time... I'm not too good with filesystem and charts. Do you mean that the problem is coming from my windows 10 laptop: when I plug the USB key, it mounts it with a ISO codepage filesystem? If that is the case, can I force the mounting to be in utf8 (in windows?) Best meaz PS: f...ing accent!by meaz - PirateBox (General)
Hi Matthias, thanks a lot for your quick answer. Is the problem coming of droopy? To answer your question, yes, the files are still downloadable. And there are no problem with the directory listing: it shows the name perfectly. The problem comes when I stop the piratebox, and plug my usb stick into my computer... Best, meazby meaz - PirateBox (General)
Hi Matthias, thanks for the answer, and sorry that I've been so long to test what you suggested... It actually doesn't work. Here is my modified /etc/config/fstab root@piratebox:~# vi /etc/config/fstab option target '/mnt/usb' option device '/dev/sda1' option fstype 'auto' option options 'umask=0,noatimeby meaz - PirateBox (General)
Hi all, when I upload a file that contains accent (ex: cinéma), the uploaded file's name is changed : the accent is replaced by a "?" (ex: cin?ma). How could I fix that? Thanks!by meaz - PirateBox (General)
Thanks! It works perfectly now.. QuoteMatthias Well.... it's a pitty that this wasn't found on the RPi test nor someone tested the beta images I was planning to test the beta version, but you were too quick for me as I was waiting for my vacations!!!by meaz - PirateBox OpenWrt
Hi Matthias, I noticed that the burger icon (called the menu-icon in your css file) works perfectly when you are in the index.html. But if you click on it to go to "files", it doesn't work anymore: you can see the icon, but you can't click on it to have the nav to appear... Bestby meaz - PirateBox OpenWrt

Hi Noémie, my pupils where kind of exited about that! It was really fun for them to be able to use their smartphones in class in order to produce some work. They were also suprised with the name of the project: "Pirate Box". They thought we were being kind of illegal. So I had to explain them we were not at all! As they are only 13-15 years old, none really seemed interested in creatby meaz - PirateBox (General)
Hi, I started to use a piratebox this year because I discovered it by chance and the web! I'm a teacher here in France, and we don't have a wifi connection at school. We have a computers lab, but it's often booked. So, I use the piratebox in class in order to share documents with my pupils, and to have them uploading works on it. Thank you, it works perfectly! And it took me only a couple of minutes! I started to use my piratebox in class with my pupils. I'm a history teacher, and sometimes, when I give them a work to do, I turn on my piratebox so that they can have access to documents to help them out. They use their smartphones to go on it. They really like it! The only problem, and I don't understand why,by meaz - PirateBox OpenWrt
Hi Matthias, If we haved a piratebox 1.0.3 that works, we need to follow the upgrade section of this page: is that correct? I don't understand why we have to do the openwrt part, and not just change the piratebox folder on the usb stick... Thanks again for all your work and time. Bestby meaz - PirateBox News and Events
Thanks Damavox, I had a lot of problem making my piratebox to work, so, even though I would love to test your link, as I'm a noob, I don't want to mess my piratebox! Its above my comptecences! Bestby meaz - PirateBox OpenWrt
Hi Matthias, I'm just a teacher. I will try to use the piratebox in my class this year for the first time. So, I'm not sure I could be of any help... But you have any idea, don't hesitate to let me know! Bestby meaz - PirateBox (General)
